Embryo Transfer

Frozen eggs and embryos can remain viable for many years, while retaining the potential to result in a healthy pregnancy. When a patient is ready to proceed, the eggs or embryos are thawed in synchrony with the recipient’s cycle, to make sure the uterus will be ready for implantation. Eggs are fertilized by the ICSI procedure and embryos are transferred back into the uterus at the appropriate stage. Should surplus embryos result from an egg thaw cycle, remaining embryos can be frozen and stored for future use.
